New York Jets QB Trevor Siemian out for season with ankle injury

New York Jets quarterback Trevor Siemian is out for the season in accordance with coach Adam Gase.
Siemian, filling for Sam Darnold that was sick, has been injured in the second quarter of Monday night’s loss to the Cleveland Browns. The New York Daily News reported that he had ligament damage but did not break his arm.
A sombre Gase announced Thursday the Darnold announced Siemian the newcomer and had mononucleosis.
He’ll now turn after Darnold was sidelined to second-year player Luke Falk, who had been elevated from the practice squad. Falk was selected by the Tennessee Titans from the sixth round the 2018 draft.
Darnold Won’t play Sunday against the New England Patriots, and the Jets have a bye the following week. He is expected to miss three to seven weeks, depending upon his or her recovery.
Gase shown the Darnold was back at the team facility.
«He is feeling better. The physicians are allowing us understand how to proceed with him» Gase explained.
Gase included that the wide receiver Demaryius Thomas (knee/hamstring) and linebacker Jordan Jenkins (calf) are being monitored on a week-to-week basis. Linebacker C.J. Mosley is daily using a groin injury.
The first-year Jets coach also dealt with the status of cornerback Trumaine Johnson, that did not see action in Monday night’s 23-3 loss until late in the fourth quarter. In March 2018, Johnson signed a last-minute, $72.5m arrangement with the Jets, $45m of it guaranteed.
«We just chose not to play with him ,» Gase explained, adding it was not for disciplinary measures.
